The Cleveland Eye Clinic surgeons were the first in the country to implant the Light Adjustable Lens since it’s FDA approval in 2017. This lens offers the surgeon the opportunity to adjust and fine tune a patient’s vision after the procedure is complete by using non-invasive light treatments. The lens has been available outside the US in Europe and other continents since 2008. This lecture will also cover different types of lenses and laser technology that can be used to connect your vision and how lasers can be used to make the procedure more precise.

Cataracts are a fogging of the natural lenses in the eye that can impair your vision and limit your ability to go about your daily life. Common Symptoms include:
– Cloudy, fuzzy, foggy, or filmy vision
– Changes in the perception of colors
– Problems driving at night because headlights seem too bright
– Problems with glare from lamps or the sun
– Frequent changes in your eyeglass prescription
– Difficulty seeing at night
– Double vision
– Blurred vision

Dr. Wiley Explains What A Cataract Is
A cataract is the fogging of the natural lens inside the eye. Over time the natural lens can become cloudy and make it difficult to do your daily activities.
Often patients ask when they should have their cataracts removed. Dr. Wiley Recommends that you should have your cataract remove when it is interfering with things that you need to do. Such as driving, reading up close, watching tv, watching sporting events, etc.
When you’re having trouble seeing the things that you want to see then that’s when you should have that cataract removed.
